SYNOPSIS
Azza is een eigenzinnig meisje van 12 jaar met een Nederlandse moeder en een Egyptische vader. Ze zit op een strenge Islamitische basisschool, waar meisjes apart van de jongens les krijgen en verplicht lange jurken en hoofddoeken moeten dragen. Na de zomer gaat ze naar het lyceum, waar ze de enige zal zijn met een hoofddoek. Wat doet ze: blijft ze de cultuur van haar vader trouw of gaat de hoofddoek af?
SYNOPSIS
The twelve-year-old Azza was brought up according to her father's strict Islamic rules. She went to the Islamic primary school where girls wear long gowns and headscarfs and are taught separately from boys. After summer she will advance to the Amsterdam Lyceum. Surrounded by Dutch classmates, her headscarf will be the exception. Will she remain loyal to her father's culture?
